Buying Crypto with iDEAL, Bank Card or Credit Card: Step-by-step Plan

Step 1: Choose a Reliable Platform

Find a reputable crypto exchange or broker that accepts payments via iDEAL, debit card, or credit card, such as:

  • Bitvavo (Dutch exchange, cheap & reliable, iDEAL option)
    Binance (Worldwide, many cryptocurrencies available, supports iDEAL and credit card)
    Coinbase (User-friendly, debit card and credit card)
    Kraken (For advanced users, bank transfer or credit card)

💡 Tip: Preferably use an exchange that supports iDEAL for fast and cheap payments!

Step 2: Create an Account

  • Register on your chosen exchange.
  • Verify your identity; this usually only takes a few minutes. (KYC process: upload ID and proof of address, if applicable.).
  • Set up two-step verification (2FA) for extra security.

Step 3: Deposit Money

Depending on your chosen payment method:
✅ iDEAL: Fast and free at many Dutch brokers.
✅ Debit/Credit card: Instant purchase, often with a small transaction fee.
✅ Bank transfer: Slower, but sometimes cheaper.

Step 4: Choose your Crypto and Buy

  • Find the cryptocurrency you want (Bitcoin (BTC) , Litecoin (LTC) , or Monero (XMR) . We recommend paying with Litecoin as it is the cheapest and fastest coin.
  • Enter the amount you want to invest. (Always try to deposit a little more than the amount you need to transfer, as there are always a few euros in transaction fees.)
  • Confirm the transaction and receive your crypto instantly in your wallet.

Step 5: Store Your Crypto Safely

  • On the exchange: Convenient for trading, but less secure.
  • In your own wallet: Use a hardware wallet (💻 Ledger / Trezor (hardware wallet for extra security) or a software wallet

    📲 Trust Wallet / MetaMask (for mobile/computer use)

    When you pay, copy the complete and correct wallet address, send the crypto, and you're done! If you want to go over this last step in more detail, see step 6 below.

Step 6: Place and complete order

  • After following the steps above, you should now have an account with crypto on it.
  • You can now place an order and choose from our delicious selections. Once you've done this and entered your address and other necessary information, you can then select the crypto you purchased from the dropdown menu (we recommend Litecoin again for its low transaction fees).
  • Then click on checkout and you will see the amount that needs to be transferred and the address where it should be sent to (Please note, you will receive a new address with each order, so make sure you send to the correct address each time).
  • Then copy the full amount and address using the copy button and enter it in your wallet or broker. (You can enter this information by navigating to the coin you have and then clicking send.).
  • The broker might then ask you for the wallet's name or country. If they ask for a name, you can simply enter any personal name, not our company name. If they ask for the country, you can enter "Netherlands," and if they ask for the wallet type, you can enter "Self-Hosted wallet."
  • Then you send the coins to the correct address, and once it's received, you'll receive a confirmation email from us! (This can sometimes take a little longer, especially if you paid with Bitcoin.) Then just wait a little longer, and we'll prepare and ship your order as soon as possible! If you order and pay before 12:00 PM, your order will be shipped the same day!
